Delete your Daily Word Search data
Daily Word Search: Word Puzzle · Friendly IT Solutions Limited
This page explains how to delete your data from the Daily Word Search: Word Puzzle Android app by Friendly IT Solutions Limited. The game has no account, so most of your data lives only on your phone.
Option 1: Delete it in the app (instant)
- Open Daily Word Search and tap the settings (gear) button.
- Scroll to Delete my data and tap it.
- Confirm. Your data is deleted straight away.
Option 2: Ask us by email
- Email admin@friendlyit.co.nz with the subject "Daily Word Search data deletion".
- Tell us what you'd like deleted. You don't need to send personal details: we hold no account for you.
- We reply within 20 working days, explain what we've done, and help with data held by Google where we can.
Option 3: Uninstall
Uninstalling the app removes all game data stored on your phone.
What is deleted
- On your phone: your progress, XP, level, stars, streaks, missions, unlocked looks, statistics and puzzles in progress.
- Google Analytics for Firebase: the analytics data for your installation is cleared and its identifier is reset when you use Delete my data.
- Any scores still waiting to be posted to Play Games leaderboards are discarded.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your settings (sound, reminders, display options) and a Remove ads purchase stay on your phone, so you don't lose what you paid for. Uninstalling removes them; the purchase is restored from Google Play if you reinstall.
- Google Play Games leaderboard scores already posted stay on Play Games. You can delete them, or your whole Play Games profile, in the Play Games app or at myaccount.google.com.
- Analytics data already sent and not linked to the reset identifier is kept for up to 2 months, then deleted automatically.
- Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- Ad data is handled by Google under its own policies. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
- Purchase records are kept by Google Play as required for tax and accounting.
